I am a 60 year old women with high small particle count LDL. I also have high HDL (good stuff). should I still not take statin even if I have the "read" bad LDL cholesterol? My triglycerides are good, as well as all other numbers.

This information about low level laser light is fascinating, and I want to thank you for making it available in a format that is easy to understand. Your comment about how the FDA works to keep such information from the public is also quite interesting. The fact that the FDA doesn't endorse something is enough to make me feel the item is probably worthwhile. In other words their disapproval is sometimes a good sign that the technology in question is actually valuable. Thanks again, Dr. Dach, for this excellent post.

Your article & the link to test for low stomach acidity (http://jeffreydach.com/files/80618-70584/Testing_Low_Stomach_Acidity.pdf) lists Dermatitis herpetiformis as herpes. It is NOT Herpes Simplex. It is related to gluten consumption. According to the Celiac Disease Awareness Campaign of the National Institutes of Health (http://celiac.nih.gov/Dermatitis.aspx):
"The grouping of the lesions provides a final clue. Although DH is not caused by the herpes virus, its lesions resemble those of herpes, hence the word “herpetiformis.”; In both conditions, lesions form in small groups."
No need to be scaring the public into believing they have an STD they were unaware of.
