At 52 yrs old, my chest x-ray showed fractures in the upper spine and severe
osteoporosis in spite of my taking calcium, and always exercising. I have been on Actonel since that time and am now 62. Tried going off the drug using Evista, and the bone density went right back down within a year or so. For the last 2 years I've been on Vitamin D 50,000 units. I'm at a loss on how to treat my problem. My Grandmother had a hunched back from the disease, so heredity must be the reason. I don't know what to do about my problem.

I'm another femur fracture victim but it only took 7 months on 150mg of Actonel for the spontaneous fracture to occur.

My leg has not healed after three months.

My question is what to we do now?

I've stopped the Actonel and all arthritis drugs but what can I do to heal and rebuild my bone health without more possibly dangerous drugs?

Has any research been done on what to do after foxsamax etc. drugs?

I watched the video and I found it appalling that corporate pharmaceutical industries have to chemically alter a natural substance in order to get patent for synthetic medicine or synthetic hormones for that matter but I think synthetic hormone should not have been approved for human use in the first place.

It's always good to hear insights from an expert like Larry Frieders. I hope he can write a book about it to enlighten a lot of people especially women who might be needing this hormone therapy. I've been reading a lot of contradicting reports and they honestly got so confused.

It is a great pity that the drug companies had to develop synthetic hormones that are dangerous rather than just use the natural bioidentical form of the hormone instead. It's amazing what companies will create, that endanger peoples lives, so they can patent a drug that only they can sell and make millions or billions from.
